Choosing a new Mobile Tools logo

Thanks to my colleague Ian at Northpoint, who created some nice logo's, Mobile Tools finally has it's own logo! I got 4 different designs and I wanted to hear what you think.

Modules that have their own logo, just give them that extra piece of credibility, ... What does not mean they are actually better:)

So here they are:

Mobile Tools, Build modes and ImageCache: let's play together

Yesterday I blogged shortly about the new Mobile Tools integration with Context.

I currently updated the support for Build modes, and would like to illustrate this with an example using ImageCache.

First of all if you want to use build modes, you have enable the Mobile Tools module to provide build modes:

Using the Context module with Mobile Tools: create Mobile specific contexts

Since we all love the Context module so much, I figured it was time to integrate Context with Mobile Tools and create a special Mobile Tools plugin.

The new dev version of Mobile Tools currently allows you to create a context based on device type (mobile or desktop) or device groups.

In order to use this functionality, just create a new context and search the context for mobile devices context

AT&T Mobile Phones promotion site on Drupal

Last week I launched with Northpoint Solutions and VSHIFT another mobile drupal site. ATT&T Mobile Phones. A promotional website to consult the latest mobile phones and search stores on your mobile.

The site runs on Drupal 6 using Mobile Tools and WURFL.

The secret behind the Mobile Tools module

It has been some time since I first released the Mobile Tools module on the Drupal repository (with thanks to greggles to guide me through the process of obtaining CVS access). Since its first submission I had a quick cycle of bug fixes and feature requests, often due to my impatience to release my code to the community... I have been trying to answer / fix these bugs and fixes as fast as possible. So I hope I did not loose to many among you during that dark period.

In terms of adoption we are currently clocking on stats of 206 installs and I am glad that people are keeping up by using the latest version of Mobile Tools... Looks we are heading towards a healthy uptake :) ...

With 1.8, the module has reach a fairly stable release, so time to draw some attention to the module to get some feedback or some stories. So here is quick overview of the functionality of the module... I'll try to keep up the documentation on the Drupal doc page for the module: http://drupal.org/node/459686. Let me know if things are not clear!
